Education: Graduated from Donetsk University in 1977 with speciality: “Ukrainian Language and Literature”; in 1986 graduated with speciality: “Teacher of History and Social Studies”. After graduating from the university, worked at school and served in the army.

Initiator of creation and opening of a new promising speciality: “Applied Linguistics” at the university. In 2015-2019 headed the Department of General and Applied Linguistics and Slavic Philology of Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University in Vinnytsia; since 2020 – Dean of the Faculty of Philology.

Head of specialized Academic Council K 11.051.14 for getting the degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences (speciality 10.02.01 – Ukrainian language, 10.02.17 – comparative history and typological linguistics) at Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University.

Sphere of scientific interests: theoretical, functional, cognitive, ideographic, case, contrastive, linguo-social objective and subjective grammar, discursology, text linguistics, linguopersonology.

Teaches the following subjects: Topical Issues of Modern Linguistics”, “General Linguistics”, “Modern Ukrainian Language: Syntax”, “Theory of Language Systems”, “Philosophy of science”.

State awards: Excellent Student of Education of Ukraine (1995), Yaroslav the Wise Award (2001), NTSh Award in the USA (2002), Breastplate “Petro Mohyla” Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2007), Honored Worker of Ukrainian Education (2011), Order of Merit III class (2018).

Author of a number of scientific works, including monographs and scientific manuals: “Verbal Categories in Syntagmatics and Paradigmatics” (K., 1990), “Fundamentals of Functional Morphology” (K., 1991), “System and Structure of Morphological Categories of the Modern Ukrainian Language (problems of theory)” (K., 1993), “Theoretical Grammar of Ukrainian Language. Morphology” (Donetsk, 1996), “Ukrainian Syntax: 2 chapters” (K., 1996), “Breath of the Native Word” (2014), “Theory of Grammar and Text” (2014), “Modern Linguistics: Views and Assessments” (2014), “Theory of Linguopersonology” (2017), “Language Space of Grammar” (2018), “Theories of Linguistic Studies” (2019), “Modern Linguistic Dictionary” (2020) etc. Deputy scientific editor of the collection of scientific papers “Linguistic Studios” etc.
