Manakin Volodymyr Mykolaiovych
Eminent educator (2016), doctor of philology, professor, professor of the department of German philology of the Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University, member of doctoral specialized academic councils in linguistics at the Kyiv National Linguistic University and at the Donetsk National University, member of the scientific and methodological council for journalism at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, chairman of the editorial board of the professional scientific collection “New Philology” (ZNU), member of the editorial boards of several domestic scientific journals on linguistics, editor and reviewer of many scientific monographs, textbooks etc.
Achievements:
Scholarship holder of the Fulbright visiting scholar program (USA, University of Illinois, 2007-2008).
Laureate of the All-Ukrainian competition of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the best scientific publication of the year (2008).
Author of more than 176 publications and 5 monographs.
He has his own scientific school, within which under his supervision 2 doctoral and 14 candidate dissertations in comparative historical and typological linguistics as well as in Ukrainian and Russian languages were defended.
